Dubai AI Campus Sets Higher 2030 Targets

The new targets

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed approved targets for Dubai AI Campus to attract more than 1,000 AI companies and create over 5,000 highly skilled jobs by 2030, Dubai Media Office reported during the Dubai AI Festival.

The official release says the campus, launched in May 2024, has already attracted more than 500 AI companies, collectively securing over AED1 billion from private-equity and venture-capital funds, and contributed to more than 2,000 technology jobs. These are figures supplied in the official announcement.

The facility plan

The release also describes a planned 100,000-square-foot campus building within the DIFC Zabeel District expansion. Proposed facilities include GPU-ready systems, secure development zones, labs and an AI Experience Centre.

The building is presented as a future facility for developing, testing and demonstrating AI applications. The announcement does not turn those planned features into completed infrastructure.

Progress and ambition are separate

The new company and job numbers are 2030 targets. They should be distinguished from the campus's reported current totals and from investment secured by companies rather than spent directly by the campus. Later reporting can track each measure separately as the expansion proceeds.
