The consolidated figures

Ooredoo Kuwait Group reported nine-month consolidated revenue of KWD608 million, up 6% from KWD573 million in the same period of 2025. EBITDA increased 10% to KWD255 million, according to the company’s release distributed by Zawya on 24 October.

Net profit attributable to National Mobile Telecommunications Company fell 29% to KWD48 million from KWD68 million. Revenue growth therefore did not translate into growth in the reported bottom line.

The provision and adjusted comparison

The company attributes the profit decline mainly to a one-off KWD23.5 million provision following a June hearing in an Algerian legal matter involving its subsidiary. It reports normalised profit of KWD72 million after adjustments for that provision and a prior-period bad-debt provision.

The normalised figure is management’s adjusted comparison, not a replacement for the reported KWD48 million attributable profit. EBITDA and net profit also measure different things and should not be used interchangeably.

Group and domestic operations differ

The consolidated customer base increased 7% to 29.1 million. Within Kuwait itself, revenue declined 4% to KWD196 million and the customer base fell 4% to 2.8 million. The company cites handset shipment delays and related supply-chain disruption. These domestic figures should not be confused with the larger group totals, which include several overseas operations. This summary reports the company’s release rather than independently audited current operating data.
